2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing maisonbrome.ca or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies incorporated into them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
You must have reached the age of majority in your province, state, or territory of residence, or use the site with the authorization and supervision of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, the confidentiality of your credentials, and activity in your account.
4. PRODUCTS AND AVAILABILITY
We try to describe and display our products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary by screen. Many items are handmade or use natural materials, so minor differences in colour, texture, shape, or dimensions may occur and are not necessarily defects.
Every product sold by Maison Brome is made in Canada. Stock and quantities are limited. We may correct an error, update a description, or withdraw a product, subject to our legal obligations for orders already accepted.
5. ORDERS
Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept, decline, or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including unavailability, a pricing or description error, suspected fraud, or a shipping restriction. If we cancel a paid order, applicable amounts will be refunded as required by law.
Before completing a purchase, you can review and correct your order. After the transaction, a written confirmation containing the required information will be sent to the email address provided. You must provide accurate and complete billing, payment, and shipping information.
6. PRICES, TAXES, AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the site. Applicable taxes, shipping fees, customs duties, and other charges are disclosed before the transaction is completed when required and may be calculated according to destination. Payments are processed by Shopify and its authorized payment providers; Maison Brome does not receive your complete payment-card number.
7. SHIPPING AND PICKUP
Destinations, processing times, rates, US shipping conditions, and pickup arrangements are described in our Shipping Policy: https://www.maisonbrome.ca/en/policies/shipping-policy. Transit times are estimates and can be affected by circumstances outside our control. Mandatory rules governing distance contracts remain fully applicable.
8. RETURNS, STORE CREDIT, AND DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Discretionary returns, exclusions, costs, and store credit are governed by our Refund Policy: https://www.maisonbrome.ca/en/policies/refund-policy. That policy does not limit legal warranties or other applicable rights when merchandise is defective, unsafe, or materially different from its description.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The site, its design, text, photographs, graphics, trademarks, and other content belong to Maison Brome, its suppliers, or their licensors and are protected by applicable law. Without written permission, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit them. You may use the site only for personal and lawful purposes.
10. PROHIBITED USES
You may not use the site to commit an unlawful act, infringe another person’s rights, transmit malicious code, bypass security, collect personal information without authorization, disrupt the services, or distribute fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Some services are provided or enabled by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, carriers, and analytics or marketing services. Their use may be subject to their own terms. We do not control third-party websites reached through links and are not responsible for their content or practices, subject to responsibilities imposed on us by law.

13. SITE ACCURACY AND INTERRUPTIONS
We may correct site errors or omissions and update content. We do not guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided as available. No exclusion or limitation in these Terms applies where prohibited by law.
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maison Brome is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the site. This provision does not limit liability for intentional or gross fault, or any warranty, remedy, or protection that cannot legally be waived under consumer-protection or other applicable laws.
15. SEVERABILITY AND WAIVER
If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or severed as necessary without affecting the remaining provisions. A failure to exercise a right is not a waiver of that right.
16. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. For consumers, nothing in these Terms removes the right to bring a claim before the competent court of their domicile where provided by law.
17. CHANGES
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our business, services, or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted on this page with its update date. Changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
