Humminghill Farm
Exclusive farm partner of Maison Brome.
A Way of Life
Humminghill Farm is a place dedicated to a sustainable art of living, rooted in respect for resources, permaculture, LEED construction principles, agroecological production, and the transformation of what the land provides.
More than a farm, it is a celebration of slow living. It anchors us in the present moment, reconnects us with nature, and invites us to live with the rhythm of the seasons.
The Ecosystem
A farm is an ecosystem that finds balance through complementary productions. Flowers need pollinators and beehives; hens contribute manure while feeding on garden scraps and providing fresh eggs; the forest offers firewood, construction wood, and maple sap; and the vegetable garden feeds us while producing seeds for years to come.
Together, these elements shape a living, resilient environment that nourishes both body and spirit.
Flower Bouquets
Dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, and sweet peas are grown on the farm and used to create seasonal bouquets. Grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, the flowers support bees and other pollinators while bringing colour, texture, and joy to the people who bring them home.
Seasonal floral products from Humminghill Farm are available through Maison Brome when in season.
Vinegars
Humminghill Farm produces flavoured vinegars as a way of sharing the essence of the land. This artisanal production brings together cultivated ingredients, careful transformation, and a desire to preserve the character of the farm in every bottle.
These products are part of Maison Brome’s farm selection and reflect the same attention to provenance, craft, and seasonality.
Maple Products
After forest management work in the farm’s sugar bush, Humminghill Farm began producing maple syrup in its sugar shack. This production is part of a broader approach to caring for the land, developing the maple grove, and offering products that are deeply connected to the territory.
Maple products from Humminghill Farm are available through Maison Brome when in season.
Our Community
Humminghill Farm has been part of the Bolton West Collective since 2016. The Collective brings together owners, producers, and consumers with the goal of promoting agricultural and forest use of the territory while supporting a sustainable and resilient local ecosystem.
This relationship reflects the farm’s broader commitment to thoughtful land stewardship and local production.
From the Farm to Maison Brome
Humminghill Farm is Maison Brome’s exclusive agricultural partner. Its flowers, honey, maple products, flavoured vinegars, and seasonal condiments connect the boutique to the surrounding land and to the rhythm of the Eastern Townships.
Through this partnership, Maison Brome brings together the work of artisans and the products of the territory under one roof in Knowlton.
